“Otak-Otak” is a local delicacy which make from mixture of raw fish meat,coconut milk, pre-cooked chili paste and selected spices. It later develop to more variety with mixture of prawn, crab, squid etc, but the bulk of it are still fish meat. The mixture is then packed into containers and keep frozen until it is ready to cook.
Remove otak-otak from packaging and place it onto a clean plate.
Pour 30% of water into the pot from base level and boil it.
Steam the otak-otak for 15 minutes, then serve while it is hot.
Muaria Synergy Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Muaria Food Industries) originates from a home-based “Otak-Otak” maker in 2002 situated in MUAR – a town located at north-west of Johor state, Malaysia.
With increase in demand for MSSB brand of products and the need to expand its production capacity, they have moved twice to their current premise in 2008 which is 5 times the size of their original home based facilities. Since then, they have upgraded both their manufacturing and packaging into semi-auto process. In addition, they also air-conditioned the packaging room to ensure and achieve high level of hygiene. Besides, they have obtained the status of “HALAL” for their range of products since 2006.
Specialized in local delicacies called “Otak-Otak” which made of fish paste with spices and fresh coconut milk, they are popularly recognized by customers about the softness in taste with distinctive aromatic flavors. Suitable to go with meals or served as finger foods.
